Fountain Hills Automobile Club attends Cruz’N @ Phil’s Jan. 28
Members of the Fountain Hills Automobile Club will attend the free “Cruz’N @ Phil’s” event Sunday, Jan. 28, where the club will show off a prized collection of cars to all who attend.
Find out about the upcoming events the Club has docketed, see the unique features of each car or classic pickup truck and learn about the benefits of becoming an Auto Club member. Car enthusiast and those eager to meet some are invited to attend.

Cruz’N @ Phil’s is held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phil’s Filling Station, 16852 E. Parkview Ave.
The Spanish Conversation Group celebrates 30 years
The Spanish Conversation Group of Fountain Hills is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Its members invite any former members to join in the celebration. For details, email Janet at macex4@msn.com.
Men’s Discussion Group convenes
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group meets every Monday (except holidays) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Community Center. On Monday, Jan. 29, Cherie Koss of the River of Time Museum will discuss, “History of the Verde Valley and the importance of water resources.”
There is no cost to attend these meetings but Community Center membership is required.
Rotary Club of Fountain Hills host speakers
The Fountain Hills Rotary Club will host Fountain Hills Fire Chief Dave Ott on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
Held at the American Legion Post 58, 16837 E. Parkview Ave., the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills meets at 4 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month.
Community Center Contract Bridge winners posted
Contract bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center. Membership in the Community Center is required to participate.
Winners from Jan. 12 include Roger Watton in first place, Joanne Arneson in second place and Vess Drazev in third place. Winners from Jan. 17 include Guy Rolfsrud in first place, Roger Watton in second place and Elen Drazev in third place.
Botanical Garden seeks volunteers
The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers to join its cause to keep the trail in good condition for all to use.
The garden requires stewardship from the community to keep the trail accessible to all.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly welcomes newcomers
Anyone looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight-loss is invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
Al-Anon holds regular meetings
Al-Anon family meetings are held each Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the classroom building.
The only requirement to attend is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Attendees will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
