Coalition sponsors gingerbread house contest

Posted

The Fountain Hills Coalition is reviving the popular gingerbread house contest, and the deadline is Friday to enter.

The drug prevention group is promoting the contest as a way to help bring families closer during the holidays as part of its Safe Homes Network.

The network encourages parents to pledge not to serve alcohol to underage youths and to check with one another before allowing teens to attend house parties.

There are three categories in the contest – family, teen and youth.

Registration has begun and ends Friday, Dec. 6. All entries must be submitted online at www.fhcoalition.org. Various cash and other prizes will be awarded.
