“Common sense” is such a subjective term. Common sense would suggest that people would stop at residential stop signs in our neighborhood – the Cottonwoods, just off of Grande – but apparently the drivers’ “common sense” somehow justifies their speeding though to save a minute or two.
Common sense would also suggest that the police would want to stop the offenders before a child is injured, but apparently that is not the case. It’s the same dilemma as the Golden Eagle residents are experiencing, I guess.
Common sense would suggest that neighbors putting up some additional signs to remind people of the children in the area would be a good thing, but law enforcement removed them and had three officers canvassing the neighborhood to find out who would do such a thing!

Common sense gun laws are also a funny thing. They only affect the law-abiding people. How’s that been working in the “gun free” zones like the San Bernardino building, schools and theaters? When will the government start getting sued for not protecting the children entrusted to them?
Common sense gun laws to one is infringement to another. It’s always seemed to be so hypocritical how the politicians and the beautiful people are all protected with guns but the rest of us are to have limited options.
It’s startling to me when people say they would rather be a statistic than to have a fighting chance, and I guess if bad guys never go to libraries or parks, there would be no need for a good guy with a gun. Cops can’t be everywhere, but please just stop making us the bad guys for wanting to protect our families.
As I’ve been saying for quite a while now, common courtesy and common sense are not that common anymore.
