The Fountain Hills Community Band will present a season finale Sunday, April 19, in the form of a “pops” concert.
To accommodate the expected crowd, the Fountain Hills Community Center will host the concert, which starts at 4 p.m.
Conductor Ed Madden and the musicians have prepared an eclectic and unusual program of music of the “Roaring Twenties,” a wonderful arrangement of music from “Les Miserables” and “Fidgety Feet,” a big Dixieland Band number with jazz soloists.

In addition, some challenging yet light music for band by Robert Russell Bennett, two Gershwin songs featuring vocalist Debbie Fisher by popular request, Glenn Miller’s “The St Louis Blues March” and some “tongue in cheek” musical humor will round out the program.
Yet no American band Pops concert would be complete without the inclusion of the most famous march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Phillip Sousa.
Several special guest artist musicians are joining the band for this final concert of the season.
Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend what promises be a very entertaining event.
