As the summer heat subsides, the Fountain Hills Community Garden is preparing to celebrate its seventh anniversary with an outdoor event Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The community is invited to the free, all-day event that will emphasize the Blue Zones around the world.
Blue Zones, which are geographic areas where people live longer and healthier lives than average, will be the central theme of the event, including the cooking demonstration held at noon led by nutrition and wellness Consultant Debbie Romano of Fountain Hills Healthy Heartbeats.
