Community Garden plans fundraiser on Nov. 3

The Community Garden will showcase a new beehive and explain the importance of bees in the garden from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. The rain date will be Nov. 4.
The “Bee Happy” event will be a fundraiser for a demonstration kitchen and entertainment area.
In addition to beekeeper Audra Waddle, there will be entertainment, vendors, garden tours, a raffle, silent auction, prizes and a farmers market.
A work day is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 20. Wear work clothes, bring gloves and plan to beautify the garden.
A garden social is planned for 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14. This free event is open to the public.
The November work day will be from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 17. All garden beds will be sealed. Every garden bed renter must to attend to seal her or his bed.
In preparation for sealing, gardeners must cut back all plants so the sides of the bed are clear.
