We want to share how we met Linda Bellenir. We live in a senior park in Apache Junction. Many residents in our over-55 retirement park have been having a great deal of trouble with a resident who has been operating as an unlicensed contractor. He has been preying on the elderly for more than six years.
One day in November, 2013 our neighbors, Ed and Diana, called for a “mobile notary” and Lina accepted the assignment and what a blessing that was for us. Ed, 87, and his wife Diana, 77 and legally blind, wanted several of us to be witnesses for the documents that required notarization. Lina was kind, compassionate and extremely detailed in performing her duties. But, it is what has happened since that day that is most telling about this woman’s character.

Ed and Diana started to tell Lina about the problems the park was having along with their own personal story. Lina listened intently and upon hearing their shocking story of abuse at the hands of this unlicensed contractor she became very concerned for their safety. Lina immediately called the authorities. She stayed until the authorities arrived.
Lina continues to help Ed and Diana. She has been at their side during court hearings. She has seen to it that they have received the help they needed and has continued helping other residents harmed by this individual. She did not know any of us, yet she has put so much time and effort into helping us get justice just because she thought it was so wrong. There is no end to her compassion for the elderly.
Lina told us that she is running for a seat on Town Council, and we know that she will work just as hard for the Fountain Hills residents as she has for us. She is one of the greatest ladies we have ever met.
