Concerned with Charlie Kirk proposals in Fountain Hills
OPINION – Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn seems to have an inordinate amount of influence when it comes to the town of Fountain Hills. I’m concerned that he’s pushing the renaming of the Community Center and installing a new statue, both in the name of Charlie Kirk.
As most of us know, Charlie Kirk was a very vocal, inflammatory right-wing, evangelical Christian Trump backer, and it’s pretty apparent, so is Vice Mayor Skillicorn. I object to the unilateral influence he seems to have over our community. Charlie Kirk was certainly no Martin Luther King, and it’s insulting to our nation to even put his name in the same sentence as Martin Luther’s.
