As the pastor of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills, I have several times over recent years expressed my opposition to the homosexual agenda in our community, state and nation.
It was stated in The Fountain Hills Times by the pastor of The Fountains, David Felten, that the churches were supportive of this proposed non- discrimination movement in reference to homosexuals.
Mr. Felten does not speak for the pastors of Fountain Hills…he certainly does not speak for me or the Fountain Hills Evangelical Association. I (we) stand in opposition to any ordinance that promotes and specially recognizes sexual perversion or puts restraints on Christians and their business or churches.

The open time in the last council meeting was one sided as those in favor of this measure were the only ones there, with knowledge that this would be brought up…making it seem like it is the will of the people and the religious community.
I assure you, this is one pastor who stands against any such measure or ordinance. I will be praying that the council will make the right decisions in this matter.
I will be one, and our church will be, standing for what is morally and biblically right. The Scripture is clear on this matter, and only distorted by apostates who have a disdain for biblical truth.
As an American citizen, I will also stand for the freedom of association and against excessive useless laws that restrict freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. Clearly our Founding Fathers never intended for sexual perversion of any kind to be a right that is protected.
God help us if we go down this road...there are consequences for a people when they corrupt or change what God calls an abomination, by calling it good and acceptable.
