I’d like to respond to the editor’s column defending the press from accusations of fake news and being the enemy of the people.
It’s been documented that 90 percent of the reports about Trump are negative. It should be obvious that reason is that they refuse to report any of Trump’s accomplishments because it contradicts their anti-Trump agenda. They ignore the regular reporting of job growth, record low unemployment, especially among minorities and women, strong economy, consumer confidence and spending on the rise and manufacturing returning to the U.S., which Obama said could never happen.
There is so much more, but the most disturbing was the failure to show the bodies of the Korean vets returning home to their final resting place because it may represent a victory for Trump and his administration.

If the liberal press, especially those two well-known political talk stations, only report the news that fits their anti-Trump agenda, can it be called real news or the opposite of real? When the liberal press endorses suppression by omission, a tactic used by the press in dictatorship countries, can they be called the enemy of the people? Maybe in our country we should call it the enemy of Donald Trump and all of his supporters, which are a huge portion of the population of the U.S.
Since collusion is the new buzzword of the year, I’ll use the word “conspiracy,” which is a united effort by the liberal media to sabotage Trump’s presidency.
Finally, I’ll admit that my memory isn’t as sharp as it was over 20 years ago when I started my subscription to The Times but I don’t remember it being politically motivated against any president, but I guess all things change with the times (pun intended), as will the decision to renew my subscription.
