Politics is a contact sport. It shouldn’t be, but it is.
Local politics should be the exception. It should be, but it is not.
Mike Archambault is running for Town Council. Mike served two previous terms on Town Council at a time when our town was near bankruptcy. During those hard times Mike worked to build a consensus with Mayor Wally Nichols and other Town Council members, and helped guide the town through its troubled times.

Mike Archambault is running for Town Council. Mike served two previous terms on Town Council at a time when our town was near bankruptcy. During those hard times Mike worked to build a consensus with Mayor Wally Nichols and other Town Council members, and helped guide the town through its troubled times.
That was 2002 to 2010. Since 2011, Mike has served three terms on the town Planning & Zoning Commission – three times Mike was nominated by Town Council to serve on the P&Z and three times endorsed by the Mayor.
Last year, Mike was elected by the other P&Z Commissioners to serve as Chairman. As Chairman, Mike urges the Commissioners and everyone to express their views and to provide their input on matters affecting our town.
Mike Archambault is an independent thinker and a consensus builder. I have seen it firsthand in his administration of P&Z matters. Respect, courtesy and fairness are the guidelines of all P&Z proceedings. To imply otherwise through attacks on Mike’s character undermines our town’s administrative process and the integrity of our appointed officials.
Local politics should not be a contact sport of character attacks. The recent spate of letters to this newspaper and the process of character attacks should be a concern to all voters.
I support Mike Archambault for Town Council. Few are better prepared to serve the interests of Fountain Hills voters. Give Mike a look at his website: mike4council.com.
