Regarding the proposed lagoon, there are so many things wrong with this proposal it is not worth serious consideration; i.e. cost, restrooms, parking, water quality, sand erosion, maintenance costs, traffic, safety in water, litter, etc.
I think it is also contrary to the normal demeanor of Fountain Hills, which is a mature community. I think the money could be better used to maintain our fountain and our town’s infrastructure. This is as bad as the proposed multi-screen theater and roundabout at Avenue of the Fountains and Saguaro proposed in recent years.
We should stop this immediately and ask for our $38,000 feasibility study money back.
