Are you in second through fourth grade? Do you love stuff that oozes, squirts and makes funny noises? Then check out Cool Crazy Science Night, a special event being hosted out of Church of the Ascension on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.

There is no charge for this educational and fun event; just grab your family and come explore 15 really cool, hands-on science stations such as the meal worm Olympics, rainbow nail polish, elephant toothpaste, magic glop, balloon rockets, invisible ink and more.

Everyone is invited to come out and experiment with three branches of science including biology, chemistry and physics. Everyone will also receive a goody bag with several science projects to take home.

Organizer Val Varanese is a Fountain Hills Ambassador Girl Scout and, for her Gold Award “Take Action” project, she decided to host a science night in the hopes of building more interest in local youth. For more information on the project, visit coolcrazyscience.weebly.com.

For those planning to attend, contact Pam Varanese at pam@varmaco.com or 250-7986 so an estimated head count can be determined for the evening’s events.
