Fountain Hills council approves fire department agreements

Ambulance, training, mutual aid covered

Fountain Hills Town Council approved three agreements at its March 19 meeting to advance the operations of the new Town of Fountain Hills Fire Department.

The council returned to an item that was postponed from an earlier meeting regarding a lease agreement with American Medical Response of Maricopa (AMR) to provide quarters for AMR ambulance crews and equipment working out of Fountain Hills.

In his written report to the council Fire Chief Dave Ott said a Request for Proposal was issued prior to the termination of the fire services agreement with Rural/Metro. He said the only response to the RFP was from AMR.
