Council budget discussion starts tonight

The Town Council is scheduled to go over the budget plan during a series of work study sessions starting this evening, Monday, April 28.

The meetings are also scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29-30 if necessary.

The council is looking at a $44.8 million total budget with $13.7 in the General Fund. There is $22.2 million projected for capital projects including $8.2 in voter approved bonds for the reconstruction of Saguaro Boulevard expected to begin late this calendar year.

Council budget discussion starts tonight

The Town Council is scheduled to go over the budget plan during a series of work study sessions starting this evening, Monday, April 28.

The meetings are also scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29-30 if necessary.

The council is looking at a $44.8 million total budget with $13.7 in the General Fund. There is $22.2 million projected for capital projects including $8.2 in voter approved bonds for the reconstruction of Saguaro Boulevard expected to begin late this calendar year.

The budget plan will be before the council at its May 1 meeting for preliminary approval. The preliminary approval sets a cap which cannot be exceeded with final approval. The special sessions this week are open to the public and begin at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall.
