Council candidates set for August election

The slate of candidates for Fountain Hills Town Council is now set for the Tuesday, Aug. 30 primary election.
The mayor’s office and three council seats are up for election.
Mayor Linda Kavanagh is running for a third term and is unopposed. Her third two-year term will make her Fountain Hills’ longest serving mayor when it ends.
Two incumbent council members will be on the ballot, Dennis Brown and Cecil Yates. Councilwoman Cassie Hansen has served two four-year-terms and is not seeking re-election.
Former Councilman Mike Archambault who is currently chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Timothy Rawlings and Art Tolis are also seeking election to the council.
