The Fountain Hills Town Council has granted a developer an extension on a special use permit (SUP) for a proposed seven-unit apartment complex near El Pueblo Boulevard and Ivory Drive.
Town Code requires that a building permit application must be submitted within six months after an SUP is granted. The SUP was originally approved in Sept. 2023.
Developer John Gurczak made the request for the extension in March 2024. Town Senior Planner Farhad Tavassoli explained that the delay getting the request to the council was not the fault of Gurczak.
