Council names Melton judge

The Town Council voted unanimously on April 3, to appoint Robert Melton as presiding judge for the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.

Melton was hired to serve as judge part-time for the town court at an annual salary of $67,000.

In making the appointment the council also approved a two-year employment agreement with Melton for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 fiscal years.

Council names Melton judge

The Town Council voted unanimously on April 3, to appoint Robert Melton as presiding judge for the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.

Melton was hired to serve as judge part-time for the town court at an annual salary of $67,000.

In making the appointment the council also approved a two-year employment agreement with Melton for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 fiscal years.

The part-time nature of the municipal judgeship will allow Melton to continue his private law practice.
