Council plans busy retreat

The Town Council will meet for its annual planning retreat on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Community Center. The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Ballroom #4.

The agenda for the meeting is considered for council discussion only, with no council action to be taken. The mayor or town manager may consider presentation or input from members of the audience if deemed appropriate. The presiding officer will have discretion regarding the time for such input.

The outline for the agenda includes an overview by Town Manager Grady Miller. There will be a review of the 2017 Fountain Hills Strategic Plan. Budget proposals for the 2019-2020 fiscal year will be discussed as well as the capital improvement program and the finance director’s five year financial forecast for the town.

The Town Council will meet for its annual planning retreat on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Community Center. The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Ballroom #4.

The agenda will also include a discussion of Council Rules of Procedure including boards and commissions. There will also be discussion regarding special event liquor licenses, the hillside protection easement regulations and the party nuisance ordinance.

The session is to close with a summary of the discussion by Mayor Dickey.
