The retreat will be an opportunity to discuss the council mission, a review of core services and priorities for the next fiscal year. The agenda also includes a financial review covering fiscal policies, fund balances and the current year's budget.

The Town Council will begin its formal discussions for planning the 2014/2015 fiscal year budget with a planning retreat this week.
The council will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 8, beginning at 8 a.m. in council chambers at Town Hall.
The retreat will be an opportunity to discuss the council mission, a review of core services and priorities for the next fiscal year. The agenda also includes a financial review covering fiscal policies, fund balances and the current year's budget.
The retreat is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and if necessary will be continued on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 8 a.m. in council chambers.
The session is open to the public, although there will not likely be any opportunity for public comment at this retreat.
