If he wants to give us the chance to choose/elect his successor, he needs to resign by April 30. If he waits to resign after that date, the mayor and council members will decide for us by appointing someone to complete his entire term (Dec. 2020).
His timing will show what kind of leader he intends to be. One who is inclusive and respects the judgment of the citizens of Fountain Hills or one who is exclusive and only trusts the judgment of six people on the council.

We deserve the opportunity to select a new person to represent us on the town council.
