Councilmember Skillicorn’s lawsuit against Town of Fountain Hills dismissed

Alleged civil rights violations in federal court

A federal judge in Phoenix has ordered the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Town of Fountain Hills Councilmember Allen Skillicorn against the town, four fellow councilmembers and an outside attorney in May 2024.

A joint motion to dismiss the suit was filed Dec. 29, followed by the order of Judge Dominic Lanza on Monday, Dec. 30. The motion filed on Sunday’s date states simply “the parties hereby jointly move that this matter, in its entirety, be dismissed with prejudice, with each side to bear its own costs and fees.”

Lanza’s order states “good cause appearing, it is ordered that the parties’ joint motion to dismiss is granted.”
