County Supervisors name Skinner sheriff

Over 30 years with MCSO

In a move of particular interest to the Town of Fountain Hills, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Feb. 8 named Russ Skinner to succeed Paul Penzone as Maricopa County Sheriff.

Penzone resigned effective Jan. 12 this year. The Town of Fountain Hills receives its law enforcement services under contract with MCSO.

Sheriff Skinner had been serving as the MCSO chief deputy for the past six years under Penzone.
