CPR saves seventh grader at FHMS

Fountain Hills Rural/Metro Fire Department responded to the Fountain Hills Middle School shortly after 10 a.m. on Wednesday for a reported seventh grade male student who had gone into cardiac arrest on the track.

Fire Chief Dave Ott said a teacher provided great bystander CPR on the student until firefighters arrived.

The student was transported to a Scottsdale hospital for further treatment.
