Love running? Love beer? Enjoy both at a running experience like no other during the Road Runner Sports Craft Classic Half Marathon & 5K in Fountain Hills on Oct. 16.

Presented by Adidas Running, this event features a 13.1-mile half marathon and a 5K run, followed by an epic Craft Brew After Party you won’t want to miss.

The third leg of this national, three-race series will hit town during the peak of the fall running season. The beauty of the Sonoran desert, the breath-taking vistas, and mountain views in and around Fountain Hills will serve as a picturesque backdrop for the race.

The world-famous Fountain will be the backdrop for both the start and finish line of the course. Runners will circle Fountain Park before taking on the challenging terrain through town and finally back to Avenue Plaza.

Participants will love this casual yet challenging race for beer aficionados of all speeds. All participants receive a commemorative pint glass, and those who are 21 years or older will enjoy craft beer from local favorite Huss Brewing Company.

Runners also receive an official event shirt and a unique, custom finisher medal on race day. But the swag doesn’t stop there; the top three overall male and female finishers will receive some additioanl awards, as well as the top three finishers in each age group. Top male and female half marathon finishers will win their weight in beer.

The Road Runner Sports Craft Classic Half Marathon & 5K race series supports Team Red, White & Blue, whose mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
