Students in Fountain Hills will have the chance to have their art displayed at the Dark Skies Festival on March 30.

Students K-12 can submit art pieces that are drawings or paintings, and high school students can also submit digital art.

The only restrictions are that the art is 12’’x16’’ and follow the theme of space or the night sky.

Dark Skies event hosts art contest

Students in Fountain Hills will have the chance to have their art displayed at the Dark Skies Festival on March 30.

Students K-12 can submit art pieces that are drawings or paintings, and high school students can also submit digital art.

The only restrictions are that the art is 12’’x16’’ and follow the theme of space or the night sky.

The top 20 pieces from each grade level will be on display at the Community Center the week leading up to the festival and the top three winners will be on display after the festival at the River of Time Museum.

The top three winners from each grade level will also receive a cash prize. First place winners will receive $100, second place $50 and third place $25.

The deadline to submit artwork to a teacher is March 21. The submissions will be picked up the next day.
