Ground has been ceremoniously broken and logistics details for site staging are being worked out so construction can begin soon.
Interest has been high for the International Dark Sky Discovery Center (IDSDC) since the groundbreaking in early April, and now there is additional incentive for potential donors to the science center being built in Fountain Hills.
The IDSDC has announced that several of its donors have offered to match all donations from now until the June 20 Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. This means individual donations of $1,000 become $2,000, or $5,000 becomes $10,000.

Naming rights donations ($2 million for a major component or $8 million for the entire facility) will not be matched.
