Okay, I’m just getting started, but here are more things to point out before I reach the word limit. How about a laser tour of the night sky? Yes, this is as awesome as it sounds. And there will be a number of large telescopes set up in Centennial Circle as well as a silent auction of very nice telescopes. Oh, and there is a solar walk. Can’t explain this one, you’ll have to come.
Three short presentations in the Community Center ballroom will be given by nationally known speakers: Dr. Jeffrey Hall, Director of Lowell Observatory; Dr. John Barentine, Director of Public Policy for the International Dark Sky Association; and keynote speaker Geoff Notkin, who had his own TV show as the “Meteorite Man.”
There will be a great selection of food trucks and Fountain Hills businesses, including Grapeables providing wine and Bonehaus Brewery providing beer.
