Darlene Friedel

Darlene Friedel, 81, of Fountain Hills passed away peacefully on Aug. 9, 2015.

She was a beloved and wonderful wife, mother of seven, grandmother of 23 and great-grandmother of 11. Darlene was a strong woman of her Catholic faith and was dearly loved by her family, friends and the community as a whole.

She loved people and was constantly helping others. Darlene spent 54 years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and assistant.

A memorial gathering will be at 9 a.m. with a funeral Mass at Church of the Ascension Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.

In lieu of flowers, donations requested to St. Vincent de Paul at Church of the Ascension. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
