Deadline nears for Fountain Hills referendum petition

Questions about misinformation, cost

Reclaim Our Town (ROT) has until Feb. 16 to file 1,084 signatures on a petition to have a question on redevelopment to a portion of Four Peaks Plaza referred to voters later this year.

ROT is a political committee challenging the Fountain Hills Town Council decision for rezoning for redevelopment a portion of the Four Peaks Plaza (Target Center) on Shea Boulevard with more than 300 apartments.

The council had approved the PAD rezoning application on a 4-3 vote at a meeting Jan. 17.
