DeGeorge Partners joins Code: Red campaign in Fountain Hills

Provide life-saving water relief

When Arizona temperatures soar past 110 degrees, the heat isn’t just uncomfortable, it’s deadly. For thousands of unsheltered individuals across the Valley, something as simple as a cold bottle of water can be the difference between life and death.

That’s why DeGeorge Partners is teaming up with the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Code: Red Summer Heat Relief Campaign, opening its Fountain Hills office as an official water donation site and rallying the community to step up. Water can be dropped off anytime through the month of July at the DeGeorge Partners office, 16872 E. Avenue of the Fountains, Suite 103. Donations to the cause can also be made online at codered.phoenixrescuemission.org.

“We live and work in this community,” said Karen DeGeorge of DeGeorge Partners in a press release. “Becoming a donation site is our way of turning concern into action — and inviting our neighbors to do the same.”

In 2024, Maricopa County saw a decline in heat-related deaths for the first time in over a decade, according to the release, a 6.9% drop from the previous year.

“That life-saving shift was made possible through the efforts of committed partners, compassionate individuals and organizations across the Valley,” the release continued. “This year, we can do it again. By coming together, we can help save even more lives.”

The Code: Red campaign deploys more than 40 case managers and 30+ Hope Coach vehicles to deliver cold water, hygiene kits and critical resources directly to those living on the streets during Arizona’s most dangerous months, according to the release.
