The organization will mark its one year mark with catered refreshments. A social time will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary, members will celebrate Ginny Dickey’s win as Fountain Hills mayor.

Dems celebrate one year

Fountain Hills Democratic Club celebrates its first anniversary Thursday, Sept. 13.
The organization will mark its one year mark with catered refreshments. A social time will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary, members will celebrate Ginny Dickey’s win as Fountain Hills mayor.
Speakers include Anita Malik, who is running for U.S. Congress in the District 6; Eric Kurland, running for Arizona State Representative; and Daria Lohman, candidate for State Senate. Legislative District 6 chair Brion Neely also will speak. He was instrumental in helping the local Democratic Club organize.
Volunteers who have been working with the organization through the past year also will be recognized.
The Democratic Club meets monthly at the Community Center. All interested are welcome to attend the meetings.
