Felten, who is pastor at The Fountains United Methodist Church, will talk about “Separation of Church and State.” He has been pastor of the Fountains for more than 10 years and has been involved in Fountain Hills activities while growing his congregation.
He founded the Fountain Hills Interfaith Alliance, which brings together various communities of faith seeking common ground. Felten, a native Arizonan and graduate of ASU and Boston University, is also the coauthor of “Living the Questions,” a book and video series on Progressive Christianity.
He is an accomplished musician, as well, and plays in the Fountain Hills Saxophone Quartet. Felten also serves on the national board of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and is a passionate advocate for Constitutional principles that guarantee not only freedom of religion, but also freedom from religion.
