Deputies have a busy week with traffic collisions in Fountain Hills

Six traffic incidents reported over week

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 26.

Thursday, March 20

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported private property hit and run traffic collision. Deputies said an unknown vehicle hit the victim’s vehicle while it was unoccupied and parked in a business parking lot then fled the area without calling police or exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

Deputies have a busy week with traffic collisions in Fountain Hills

Six traffic incidents reported over week

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 26.

Thursday, March 20

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported private property hit and run traffic collision. Deputies said an unknown vehicle hit the victim’s vehicle while it was unoccupied and parked in a business parking lot then fled the area without calling police or exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Trevino Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies reported the collision occurred when a driver made an unsafe left turn and struck another vehicle in the intersection. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Sunburst Drive where a single vehicle collision was reported. MCSO reports a motorist drove through landscaping in front of a residence and onto a tall retaining wall. Upon contacting the driver, deputies initiated a DUI investigation. A search warrant for a blood sample was obtained and the blood sample was collected by deputies. Case pending lab analysis.

*Deputies made contact with a subject in the 16000 block of El Lago Blvd. while responding to a call for service. A records check revealed that the subject had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of the Fountain Hills Municipal Court. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.

Friday, March 21

*A resident of the 16000 block of Bayfield Drive reported a domestic violence assault incident. Deputies reported the aggressor was arrested and booked into jail.

Saturday, March 22

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Trevino Drive for a disturbance. Deputies say that a homeowner fired a contractor who then became irate, yelled at the homeowner, and kicked the door of the residence. The victim was not willing to aid in prosecution.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that an unknown subject damaged the victim’s vehicle by scratching the door with an unknown object.

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reported a driver made an unsafe turn and struck a cyclist. The cyclist was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. No vehicles were towed. The driver of the vehicle received a civil citation.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where two subjects were trespassed from the property of a religious institution after being asked to leave by the management.

Sunday, March 23

*A resident of the 16000 block of Zane Grey Lane reported a violation of a court order.

Monday, March 24

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Sunridge Drive where a stolen vehicle was recovered in the parking lot of a business. Deputies report that the vehicle was stolen in the City of Mesa. The vehicle’s owner was contacted, and they made arrangements to tow the vehicle from the business property.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a single vehicle traffic collision was reported. Deputies reported mechanical failure caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway striking a fixed object. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Sunridge Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject threw a rock at the window of a business’s property causing the window to break.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Sonoran Way reported a domestic violence assault incident. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Calle Del Prado where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a vehicle from the driveway of a residence. The victim told deputies they believed they had left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle.

Tuesday, March 25

*Deputies responded to La Montana and Arroyo Vista drives for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reports that a driver made an improper turn and struck another vehicle at the intersection. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Inca Ave. reported a domestic violence assault incident.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of La Montana Drive where it was reported that a subject threatened the victim with physical violence while at an HOA meeting.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. where they assisted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by interviewing the victim of a fraudulent scheme.

Wednesday, March 26

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Thistle Drive where they picked up a subject on an involuntary mental health petition. The subject was transported to Community Bridges for evaluation.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Thistle Drive where it was reported that a subject threatened contractors hired to service a swimming pool causing them to leave without finishing their work.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Thistle Drive where it was reported that a subject made threats to harm several family members.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Trevino Drive reported that an unknown subject stole trash cans from a residence.
