Deputies report calls in Fountain Hills for the week

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reports that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 27 through Wednesday, March 5.

Thursday, Feb. 27

*Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Indian Wells Drive where it was reported that an unknown driver struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of a business. The driver then fled the area without exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

Deputies report calls in Fountain Hills for the week

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reports that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 27 through Wednesday, March 5.

Thursday, Feb. 27

*Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Indian Wells Drive where it was reported that an unknown driver struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of a business. The driver then fled the area without exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies on patrol near Saguaro and Shea boulevards stopped a motorist for displaying suspended registration on their vehicle. A records check of the driver revealed their license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a business reported that a subject rented a U-Haul truck and did not return it at the end of the rental agreement. The subject was then unable to be contacted. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where it was reported that a subject created a disturbance in the public lobby area of the municipal court.

Friday, Feb. 28

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive where it was reported that a subject who had been evicted from a residence allegedly took approximately $6,000 in property that belonged to the homeowner without permission.

Saturday, March 1

*Deputies stopped a motorist on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Palisades Boulevard for failure to maintain lane. Upon contacting the driver, the deputy initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that two known subjects were observed on a security camera shoplifting items from a business. Further investigation is pending contact with the subjects.

Sunday, March 2

*Deputies responded to Parkview Avenue and Verde River Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report that a driver failed to yield from a stop sign. No injuries were reported, a vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Kendall Drive where a subject was trespassed from a residence.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on McDowell Mountain Road, Mile Post 2, for criminal speed. Deputies reported the driver was traveling 87 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Monday, March 3

Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. for a reported private property vehicle collision. Deputies said a driver backed into a parked vehicle in the parking lot of a business. The driver fled the area without exchanging information. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*A resident of the 16000 E. Palisades Blvd. reported that an unknown subject removed cash from the victim’s residence while conducting home repairs. The victim is unwilling to aid in prosecution.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a known subject was observed on a surveillance camera shoplifting items from a business. The investigation is pending contact with the suspect.

Tuesday, March 4

*Deputies responded to Verde River Drive and Avenue of the Fountains where a traffic collision was reported. Deputies said a driver backed out of a parking area and struck a vehicle in the roadway. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

Wednesday, March 5

*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject attempted to break into a vehicle parked in a residential parking lot in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains reported that an unknown subject removed items from the victim’s residence without permission.

*Deputies stopped a motorist for criminal speed on McDowell Mountain Road, Mile Post 2. Deputies said the driver was traveling 74 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*A resident of the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that two unknown subjects damaged a fence on the complainant’s property.

*Deputies received a report that a subject made threats toward a victim while at a park in the 14000 block of Del Cambre Ave.
