A 30-piece concert band made up of Valleywide musicians has formed to promote its message of patriotism.
Formed one year ago, Desert Valley Winds performs a wide variety of musical styles and is actively recruiting more musicians. The band’s director and conductor Steve Bouchier of Fountain Hills says the band’s purpose is to treat people with respect.
“We give recognition to veterans at all of our concerts in all branches of the armed services,” Bouchier said. “We do things that instill patriotism in our people.”
