Despite rain, the Great Fair is happening

Rain and cold temperatures will not prevent The Great Fair arts and crafts festival from happening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Sunday. “It’s a go,” said Chamber of Commerce organizer Sharon Morgan on Thursday. Some exhibitors may decide not to open their booths on Friday if their products could be damaged by rain, she said. The last time an arts and crafts event did not open because of strong winds and rain was one Sunday in the late 1990s.
