The time has come to rethink the leadership of our town with our current Mayor by default. We are not comfortable with what she stands for and how closely she is aligned with the State Legislature, which time and time again has passed bills to control cities and towns.
Local government is closest to voters, but with our current Mayor, she advocates for the state mandates and against voter-passed initiatives.

Under her leadership, the Council has been divided on several important issues, with an undercurrent of unrest on items that come before the Council. The ability to work together, which should start at the top, just isn’t there.
We are excited to see an experienced leader like Ginny Dickey decide to run as a write-in candidate for Mayor so that we have a real choice, rather than a mayor by default. We already know that in the past two mayoral elections, our current Mayor could only garner around 70 percent of those voting, even when she was unopposed. Many people have asked Ginny to run.
We are ready to have a mayor who has previous experience serving on the Council, with respect for those positions. We are writing-in Ginny Dickey for mayor in August. If you are voting by early ballot, be sure that you have the directions on how to vote correctly for Ginny as a write-in.
