Make a Difference Day was supposed to be a service project helping people who were unable to accomplish the job themselves. It ended up being a fun and fulfilling day for the participants.
Our group was comprised mostly of middle school girls from Girl Scout Troop 2302, led by Laura Stacey. Those young ladies and their moms really worked pulling weeds, raking, cutting back trees and pruning plants on two large lots.
Their work ethic and positive attitudes were impressive. The home owner was pleased with her cleaned up, manicured area.

It seemed as if everyone benefitted from this event. Thanks also to Heather Ware and her committee for their super organizational skills.
