I’ll bet and give odds that you do not like being called stupid, dumb, ignorant or any other term that demeans your intelligence. But that is exactly what you are being called when you tacitly accept the printing of fiat money.
When a teenager, I had my first piece of pizza. Hand-tossed, made with real mozzarella and olive oil. When was the last time you had pizza made with olive oil? (Diminution of quality.)
How much did it cost then? 15 cents a slice! Now a slice of pizza cost $2.50 to $2.79 a slice. That is 16 to 18 times as much. And this is true with everything you buy. Do not tell me, “wages have gone up, too.” Yes, but only six to 10 times. You have gone backwards.

How did this come to be? Very simple: that is what politicians want, because it is advantageous to them to have you suffer the song and dance routine of John Maynard Keynes. Keynes is usually accepted as a noteworthy British economist of the mid 1930’s. Some, however, think otherwise.
His premise of “pump priming,” or deficit spending in excess – key word, excess – in the hands of modern day politicians has become so excessive that Keynes would be outraged.
In reality, the money systems of all G-20 nations rely on the distortions caused by excessive printing of fiat money. Really a confidence game. How really? By you being fooled.
“Whip inflation now, (win),” a slogan promulgated by president Ford shows us our stupidity, if believed. Because excessive deficit spending is a cause of that “distortion,” which eventually will bring a catastrophic end.
Greece is a country in dire economic circumstances. But really, all G-20 nations need high-topped waders to stand up in the mess of their own making.
