A planned budget adjustment and the discussion that went with it included mention of statistics that show how enrollment continues to decline across the Fountain Hills Unified School District.
Arizona school districts are required to make at least two board-approved budget adjustments each budget year, with Fountain Hills’ happening this year in September and May. The adjustments the FHUSD Governing Board went over and approved at its May 6 meeting didn’t have any major fiscal or financial suprises but was accompanied by statistics that show how much enrollment has fallen off.
And the outgoing superintendent actually predicted it would be worse.
