Rotary Club District Governor Nancy Van Pelt recently visited Four Peaks Rotary Club.
When she visits a club, Van Pelt arrives the night before and meets with the board, where she learns what the board is doing to help those who can’t help themselves. She provides input on what the district is doing to help the club achieve its goals and objectives.
Van Pelt continues to challenge the club’s efforts to help others; build membership with those who can continue to help make Rotary the largest service club in the world; to help with service projects on a local, district and international basis and provide contributions to help rid the world of polio.

Van Pelt continues to challenge the club’s efforts to help others; build membership with those who can continue to help make Rotary the largest service club in the world; to help with service projects on a local, district and international basis and provide contributions to help rid the world of polio.
While at a recent meeting, Van Pelt helped the club make its annual contribution to Casa Esperanza para Niños Orphanage in Hermosillo, Mexico, that the club has been financially and physically sponsoring for almost 18 years.
Four Peaks Rotary Club is a volunteer service organization whose major focus is to support some of the unmet needs of the Fountain Hills community through various fund-raising efforts.
Some examples, in addition to honoring Fountain Hills schools’ teachers, include funding the Junior Achievement program for an elementary school classroom, providing scholarships for Fountain Hills High School seniors and purchasing needed food items for the Extended Hands Food Bank.
Those interested in learning more about the club’s activities and meeting the members are invited to join the group for one of its weekly meetings and a complimentary breakfast.
The club meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:45 a.m. at Fountain View Village.
