Divided council sets tone for Fountain Hills in 2023

Difficult votes on major issues

A new Town Council was sworn in December 2022 and when members got down to business in January, the first order was to repeal sign regulations that had been amended and approved only months earlier.

This set the tone for a new discussion on sign rules that were not approved again until October, with a Nov. 16 effective date.

Confusion over sign requirements led to a suspension of enforcement until the new ordinance was approved.
