Donna was born June 7, 1940, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She moved to Fountain Hills in 2008 from Colorado and has been a familiar face at Safeway as a checker ever since.

Donna was an active member of the American Legion Post #58 and Fountains Hills Women’s Club. One of Donna’s favorite things to do was visit her son, Dave, in Huntington Beach, Calif., and go for a ride on his boat.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Sue Augustini, her parents Vee and Jim Stinson and her nephew, Todd Hickman.

She was loved by her family and friends and is survived by her son, Dave Elm and wife Lori of Huntington Beach; her sister Connie Hickman and husband Bud of Sun City West; grandsons Dustin Elm of San Clemente, Calif., and Andrew Augustini of Spokane, Wash.; son-in-law John Augustini of Spokane, Wash.; nieces Kelly Banc and husband Tom; Kristen Haag and husband Matt; great nieces and nephews Emma, Jordan, Tanner, Cody, Benjamin and Henry; the Overly family of Texas, Aunt Ruth, Uncle Norris and cousins Mike and wife Sandy; Pat Kuver of Las Vegas, Nev., and sons Andrew and Stephen, cousin Ron Bailey; and longtime friend Carolyn LaForest of Fountain Hills.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for March 22 at 1 p.m. at The Fountains, A United Methodist Church, 15300 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, Children’s Tumors Foundation, the Fountain Hills Women’s Club and/or The American Legion Post #58 of Fountain Hills.
