The big health insurance corporations in our country operate at tremendous profits. Yet, somehow through the artful use of their high-salaried lobbyists, the insurance companies have been able to gain Congress’s approval to inject the “donut hole” into the contracts issued to their paying participants.
Because of the high costs to the consumers of drugs, many people in my age group have to choose often between buying their prescribed drugs and buying food for their families. Then, for Congress to approve the donut hole, which radically increases the consumers’ copay for drugs, smells to the high heavens!

As a retired high school principal, I strongly support the need for businesses to show profits for their products sold. Yes, to me that strategy represents the “backbone” of our national economy.
However, Congress’s molly coddling of the fat cat health insurance companies by approving the donut hole at the expense of consumers comes very close to legalizing theft!
If indeed you are truly representing us folks here in Arizona, I pray that you will use your influence with your fellow Congress colleagues to vote to eliminate this horrendous donut provision that has been provided to the greedy health insurance corporations.
