Dorothy Anna Wolf

Dorothy Anna Wolf joined the angels in heaven on Jan. 23, 2013, in her home one week before her 99th birthday.

She was born in Chicago, Ill. the oldest of three children and graduated from Schurz High School immediately obtaining a job as a bookkeeper and supporting her family.

She raised her two sons, Ed and Gary and daughter Joan in Arlington Heights and Park Ridge, Ill.

Dorothy moved to Rio Verde in 1994 when she was 80-years-young. She loved tennis, swimming and golf. Her competitive spirit was also demonstrated in her avid game and card playing.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Tom Brunner; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Betty Wolf; and daughter-in-law, Judy Wolf.

She has eight grand-children and 26 great grandchildren. Her positive attitude, caring heart and smile inspired everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister, brother and oldest son.

Her memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of the Community Church of the Verdes. It will be preceded by a private interment in the Rio Verde columbarium at 10:30.

The service will be followed by a reception in Founders’ Hall open to all.
