The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to watch for bicyclists and allow extra travel time while the El Tour de Mesa event is underway in the east Valley this Saturday, April 1. Drivers should use caution during the event.
Sections of northbound State Route 87/Country Club Drive/Beeline Highway will be restricted between University Drive and the Bush Highway from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday. The east and westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) off-ramps at SR 87/Country Club Drive will be narrowed to one lane for northbound turns. Signage and law enforcement officers will help guide drivers through the event zone.
