Driver injured in single-vehicle incident

On Monday, Aug. 14, at about 3 p.m., there was a single-vehicle accident at the location of Fountain Hills and Kingstree boulevards.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by fire personnel. The driver indicated he fell asleep while driving, causing the collision. No signs of impairment were noticed by deputies.

The vehicle was towed and the Town cleaned debris and was provided with the vehicle information for any potential damage to curb, roadway, etc.
