My beef concerns the “Letters to the Editor” headline writer. He seems to feel the need to titillate us with double meaning sound bites: Dec. 25, “No ducking truth” and Jan. 1, “What the duck?” It’s obvious that we readers are supposed to substitute an “F” for the “D.”
Please don’t tell me I have an unclean mind, as even the Good Book tells us to be “wise as serpents, but harmless as doves.”
The Duck’s fatherly patron, Phil Robertson’s anatomical remarks, although true, need to have been much more tactful and socially acceptable.

Many of us are concerned that our beloved nation is going through an educational “dumbing down.” But, partly because of the widespread acceptance of the Duck’s hillbilly lifestyles, America is also fast slipping culturally.
