Eagle Scout project fundraiser set

Chris Towne is closing in on his Eagle Scout award, but he needs help fundraising for his project materials. Towne will host a car wash in the Tractor Supply Company parking lot, 17130 E. Shea Blvd., on Saturday, July 29, from 7 to 11 a.m. The price is $5 per car.

Towne will build shelves and a wall with pegs to put in the community theater’s sheds for his Eagle project. His grandmother works for the theater and Towne said he has always felt at home in the community theater.

Towne is the senior patrol leader of Fountain Hills’ Troop 343, which meets at the American Legion Post in Fountain Hills. He’s also the drum major of the Fighting Flock of Flacon Fury marching band at Fountain Hills High School and will be a senior this year.
